Title: fading sound from speakers on a s2k Post by: staz on August 09, 2010, 01:32:00 PM why does the music melody on s2k speakers fades from right to left and left to right sometimes while the reels are spinning and it gets quieter sometimes could the speakers goin bad?
Title: Re: fading sound from speakers on a s2k Post by: stayouttadabunker on August 09, 2010, 01:57:47 PM Probably a connector starting to go bad up in the amplifier board or and bad speaker ground some where.
Time to start sleuthing around up there... :209- How about the bottom tray speaker...working good? Title: Re: fading sound from speakers on a s2k Post by: staz on August 09, 2010, 11:41:12 PM bottom tray works fine, thats more bass then anything.....
Title: Re: fading sound from speakers on a s2k Post by: stayouttadabunker on August 10, 2010, 12:08:28 AM Well,
This is what I would do if I had your fading speaker problem.>>> I'd first remove the top glass so I can get at the speaker wiring. Throw in about a couple of hundred credit in the machines and start hitting the max bet button playing spins. At the same time while the reels are spinning, start wiggling the crap out of the speaker connectors to see if there's any change in the fading sounds. If, by wiggling a connector gets you different results, I'd remove that and totally inspect the hell out of it and see if the problem lies with a bad molex receptor pin or a male pin. I'd check the pins crimps to see if the wire is still attached solidly and not hanging by a strand or two of wire. Get that "DeOxit" spray stuff reho recommends and spray the crap outta your molexes' pins. I'll betcha your machine will be singing pretty bars after this. :89- Has your speakers ever had the resistor mods done to them? :103- Remember, there's no quick easy lazy-azz "Press-of-a-button" fix for this. No siree... :60- You're gonna have to get down and git yer hands dirty on this one baby! :72- Title: Re: fading sound from speakers on a s2k Post by: staz on August 10, 2010, 12:29:42 AM well i tried this and i got some results i used a diff sim card, the old one i had and there was no fading i use the new sim that i like and theres fading but it sounds like the tones are being split up on both speakers maybe its the theme ???????likw when it beeps you here one beep on the right then other beep on the left..... it might just be the theme im thinkong?

Title: Re: fading sound from speakers on a s2k Post by: stayouttadabunker on August 10, 2010, 01:31:45 AM whats the dif between stereo and mono? Is this a serious question? It is...lol Remember- there are no dumb questions around here...! ( snicker, snicker, snicker...) "Stereo" my man.... is at least 2 speakers with the sound is like.... coming from every where! while "MONO" means one single audio output or junky, UN-separated sound. Quoting from Wikipedia.com>>> Stereophonic sound, commonly called stereo, is the reproduction of sound using two or more independent audio channels through a symmetrical configuration of loudspeakers in such a way as to create the impression of sound heard from various directions, as in natural hearing. It is often contrasted with monophonic, or "mono" sound, where audio is in the form of one channel, often centered in the sound field (analogous to a visual field). Title: Re: fading sound from speakers on a s2k Post by: stayouttadabunker on August 10, 2010, 02:07:41 AM I had a Toyota Corolla 2 door sedan once.
Oh... I think it was a 1972 little white sh--box. 4-on-the-floor stickshift. I used to travel from Montreal to New York city every week with that junky little thing. I loved it...it, it, it was my first car! :136- When I made a few bucks, I bought a big stereo/cassette/radio player and installed it on a Saturday morning out in the front driveway. There was a cheap, little @#$%&! sh--ty A.M. radio in it that had a broken volume button which had a piece of scotch tape to try & hold the glass panel onto it. I yanked that sucker outta there!!!! Yeah!!! I had to cut a big hole in the dash to fit this huge thing in there but when I was done - it looked beautiful! I threw in a Pink Floyd cassette tape and cranked it up!!! Oh!!! That sweet loud sound!!! Mono? I never went back... Title: Re: fading sound from speakers on a s2k Post by: staz on August 10, 2010, 02:20:18 AM damm i want one of these now :97- :97-

I like the way they changed the wheel Tivoli to blue exploding lights... :184- I would like it more if they had 3 or 5 basket reels with the WMS Transmissive Reels LCD glass. :183- |
