Title: My RW&B Multi-Denom Label
Post by: Yoeddy1 on August 18, 2010, 11:37:38 PM
I thought it came out pretty good.  Interesting what one can accomplish with Excel and a little multi-color gradient love.  Just sayin...

Make sure you post a video of you pumping 800 quarters in for a spin on the $100 level  :97-

Is there an image or link to an image that I can see?  I didn't realize there was an IGT version of this.

Ron,

That Green Insert Bills Lighted Label looks like it is a sweet choice for such a "HOT" theme! Pun intended! :97- :200- :97-

Now I wonder if I have a green one that I can put on my tabasco machine???

Ron, that is a fine looking machine and that's the image that I'm talking about.  Anybody have a hi-res scanned image of it or know of any that can be had?

Thanks,
Jason

I keep getting error message saying "No Preview Available"...
Is it a proprietary file format of Adobe?

It's fun to look at the win amounts on the VFD, but I can lose the same on quarters or the $10 setting. I'm just curious as if you play like hundreds of thousands of dollars on the $10 denom then switch to the quarter denom does all the money played go into the same payout pot? Like if you lost $400,000 on $10 and switched to quarters could it start winning really well on the lower denom since so much was lost on the higher denom?

This was pretty easy, I hate those denomination pads on the player panel, I think they're ugly and distracting,  so I just went with the button. One of my machines had the harness already and the other doesn't, so I popped out the block, wired up a button from another machine, popped it in and keychipped, took about 15 minutes total.

So far I'm about 10 grand in on the $10 setting, about 2 grand in for the $5 setting. I think when my machine says 98.01% it really means 9.801%  :25-

I lose as much at $.25 per credit as I do at $500.00 per credit. 98.01% payback is just that. Machine doesn't care

You hit the hammer on the nail there cowboy.
You exactly right in saying that the machine doesn't care.
I have never heard of any RNG-based machine that wins more or less
because of the multi-denomination options.

However, let me fan the flames on the fire a little bit with this...LOL>>>

I've seen people win the larger payouts just when they've switched from
a larger denom to a smaller denom and they smack their heads -
thinking out loudly "Why didn't I leave on MAX bet????"  :72-

You can get tricky in the setup like the casinos do on the multidenom machines... You can set different percentages for each denomination!!!

For example maybe the Penny is set at 86%, the Quarter is set at 92%, the Dollar is set at 94%, and the $100 is set at 98%, etc.

TRICKY TRICKY TRICKY!!!! :71- :71- :71-

Come on guys, we're talking about home play.. everything is set as high as it'll go.

BTW here's a zip file of the paint shop pro templates for the window stickers so you can make your own.
I haven't printed any yet, I'm out of photo ink but I'm sure these will fit when printed at a high DPI

There's a template for the following:

Window above the BV for the long reel glass (I think this works for S+ also) (3" X 4.75")
Wide window above the reels that usually says machine accepts tickets redeem at cashier something or another (8.5" X 1.3")
Play x coin (1 digit) 5" X 1"
Play xxx coin (3 digit) 5" X 1"

To change the text, just open the file in paint shop pro and on the right side where it says vector, click the + sign and double click on the one you want to change.

If you don't have paint shop pro, it's widely available on P2P sharing services.

I finally got off my rump and printed a denom sticker and denom select button for mine.. pretty snazzy I think.. I used an old dollar candle for the blue gel  :89- and behind the blue gel in that candle was some opaque filler so I cut it out and stuck it under the paper, so it doesn't look like it's printed on $2 for 500 sheets paper, did the same behind the denom. The select value button could use a little work but eh.. I'm a little shaky with scissors.  I did have to alter the dimensions of the original psd file a little, I'll add those into the next post.

Open and edit with paint shop pro  :88-

With a little trimming you can use the select credit template for all the smaller, not the smallest (like VP buttons) buttons on your deck
