Title: Static in a Ceronix 2092
Post by: proten on August 24, 2010, 04:08:43 AM
I've got a Aristocrat 540 MK4  with a 20" RCA tube and
a Ceronix 2092 chassis . When I was in the game I noticed
a crackling static coming from the monitor area.
I pulled the display and looked over all that I could
see but didn't find any problems.
The picture is very good for a machine made in 1998
with very light screen burn, like said the tube is a RCA
so I think the tube has been replaced but the chassis
looks original .

 :98- :98- :98- :98- :98-

What I'm asking is that due to the age of the chassis
would it be best to just go ahead  and replace it with a new
 2092 chassis ?

Nobody has a opinion?

Hello Proten

Are you comfortable with working with a soldering iron and working on High voltage circuits ?. the 2092 chassis is pretty easy to fix  and there are plenty repairs listed here (Have a look at BenchtechBills posts he is an expert). If not you can send it to Ceronix for repairs.
