Title: WMS 400 power supply problems??? Post by: rjpohl on August 24, 2010, 08:53:35 PM I have a wms 400 that will not work until you open the door to the 2 boards. It will then work and continue to work until you turn it off and back on. I have checked all output voltages and they are OK, I have replaced the c5 cap on the lower board in the power supply (suggested by a NLG member). I have another workingmachine and when I swap out the power supply the problem follows the bad power supply.

Is it the one that can be removed ? or is it the on board supply. the on board one can be repaired, the other one cannot, that is when you have to replace it with the computer supply .
Jim I guess I should say both can be repaired, however the replaceable one has no know cross type, so that is why they replace it with a computer supply. A good ATX supply usually runs about 25/35 dollar range. versus the time and cost to repair the original |
