Take a look at this thread replys 46, 47,48  Blueridge left me with the impression the SG chips have nothing to do with the sound.  :103- :103-

What worked for me with correct sound and back lit reels flashing correctly is this set up for the WT Black Leather Babe 3CM:

SB100488
SG000363 GM1/2
VS011GX1
DSV00016

have to ask the dumb questions:

Is the DSV simm known to be working / tested condition ?

Is the SB chip original?  Can you confirm that it is in fact a SB100488 by looking at it in a Hex-Editor ?

Is the MMlite 2 board known to be working?

Under the machine options / sound /audio mode : Is stereo mode "on"?  Can you find any other setting under that menu area to turn on "enhanced sound" for like "roll-up sounds", etc.

Can you put in another known working DSV sound simm, like a DSV042 and see if you can get Enhanced sound options to come up on the menu?

not dumb questions...great ideas for me to recheck...

when i first got the simm, i tested the sounds on it and it did work that way as far as i could tell

the sb is not original, and i have no way of knowing for sure thats its the 488 except by looking at it thru the slot

i put the mm2 in another machine and it works fine

i cant get the menu to come up for the mmlite

i put the 42 in the machine and it gives me the mmlite setup and  "s2000" sounds

as soon as i change the simm back to the 16, i loose all functions of the mmlite

sounds like the simm bad?

thanks!!!
