I'm trying to switch over a Gameking machine that's currently using eprom based Gameking software to a Igame Nurses Follies with simms and eproms.  I'm using a 3902 boars and a key22.

Once i run the ram clear and replace the base chip, I turn the power on, with 5 seconds the screen comes up with "Eprom Error, turn attendant key"  once that's done I get the configuration rom CRC Error screen. 

Ive tried this on 3 different machines, and on 3 different 3902 boards and still get the same result on all machines.    I even replaced a battery on one of the boards to see if that helped but no. 

I welcome any and all suggestions and information.  I am at a loss on this.

Can you double check the error message?  Is it telling you that you have a CG ROM Signature error?  You did remove the CG1 & CG2 eproms installed in U30 & U53 prior to installing the CGF Simm correct?  If your answer is yes to these questions it sounds like your CGF simm is bad, or the wrong one for your game title.

this sure looks like an eprom error which could be caused by incorrect eproms or mixed eproms. should be m27c4002 for base and m27c801 (or equivalent)for each game chip.  I doubt it is a simm.  could have the sockets U14 and U37 populated with GK eproms(should be empty), but If it were a simm problem it would say something like that.  I remember seeing replace pixel or pxlf for Pixel simms and can't remember for CGF simms.

That's the error message for a bad or wrong CGF

OK problem fixed as of 3 hours ago.   I can't thank all of you who responded and emailed me about this enough.   

I ended up copying my key 22 chip and re-burning it, i also did the same for the base chip, and I removed all simm cards and cleaned them with a pencil eraser and blew out the ports that they slide into.  After all that it finally came to life.
