Title: 5 cm line lights Post by: DorothyMacaw on September 19, 2010, 03:27:40 PM Now that was a poorly worded topic.
When you have a multi line game is there a set of lights that illuminate each line that is bet? - Dorothy Title: Re: 5 cm line lights Post by: Ron (r273) on September 19, 2010, 03:47:05 PM Now that was a poorly worded topic. Ron (r273) Title: Re: 5 cm line lights Post by: DorothyMacaw on September 19, 2010, 05:32:26 PM Ok .. so I can light it so all the lines are illuminated, but not the individual lines. ii.e. 4 lights/line lit when 4 coins are bet.
Piffle - Dorothy Title: Re: 5 cm line lights Post by: Brianzz on September 19, 2010, 06:17:47 PM There's a light box that plugs into a harness already in your door, they're hard to find sometimes but they're around. Each coin inserted/bet lights up the line that bet is for. 1 coin lights 1, 2 coins light 1 and 2 and so on...
Title: Re: 5 cm line lights Post by: scratchee35 on September 19, 2010, 07:05:42 PM here is a picture of one....hope it looks ok as i had to take it with my phone
the side has "hooks" on it that attatch to the door frame and the plug is already there S Title: Re: 5 cm line lights Post by: DorothyMacaw on September 19, 2010, 07:38:58 PM Brianzz and Scratchee
Yes, that is exactly what I was expecting to see. Looks like I will need to post a WTB once I am able to sell my extra kidney - or - maybe the first of the month. - Dorothy Title: Re: 5 cm line lights Post by: knagl on September 20, 2010, 01:25:15 AM It's called a 'stepper light box' (or 'light stepper box' if you prefer), so you know what to ask for. :71-
Make sure to specify if you're looking for an S+ or S2000 in your ad, as I believe the boxes are different. I (and some other members) have the S+ mounting brackets, thanks to another member on here who spread them around. I'm not sure how they mount on an S2000, though. Title: Re: 5 cm line lights Post by: DorothyMacaw on September 27, 2010, 07:39:26 PM Afternoon Y'All
Thanks to Scratchee the stepper light arrived today. It slipped in like a ............. .................. Well ........ real easy. Now I need to get some power to it. Once I get the wiring, where does the loose end go? - Dorothy Title: Re: 5 cm line lights Post by: knagl on September 27, 2010, 07:49:59 PM On the S+ version, there's a little plug on the stepper box board that the wiring harness that's in the door hinge plugs right into -- I presume it'd be similar with the S2000...
Title: Re: 5 cm line lights Post by: Brianzz on September 27, 2010, 08:09:55 PM If you look in the corner of the door.. see first pic.. stick your finger up in there behind the ribbon cable and you should see an empty plug.. see picture 2 of it pulled out
it may be zip tied up into the other wires in there, in which case you'll have to cut the zip tie and pull it out. Title: Re: 5 cm line lights Post by: DorothyMacaw on September 27, 2010, 08:19:37 PM Knagle and BrianZZ I see that plug down by the main wire harness for the door, but like with many things it was just a little short (about 4 inches) I'll go poke around with it in a bit and see if I can make it longer. - Dorothy Title: Re: 5 cm line lights Post by: Brianzz on September 27, 2010, 08:39:36 PM if you stick your fingers in behind the black tubing, right where it's zip tied.. you'll feel the main harness for all the buttons.. your line light power is on that rats nest of wires. You should be able to see the plug hanging in there somewhere.. just find the black plug, should have brown, browner, brownest, brownerest , red and brownerest with a black stripe and a black wire coming out of it, If you follow those wires you should come to where it's all tied up, cut that white plastic tie and pull it out.. should give you enough slack to plug it in. I wouldn't suggest just jerking as hard as you can on it, as I usually do, ends up costing you a lot more work in the long run.
Title: Re: 5 cm line lights Post by: DorothyMacaw on September 27, 2010, 08:50:28 PM BrianZZ K +'s for you !!! A light snip and a couple light tugs and it was long enough to reach !!! Exactly as you said it would be. Thank you VERY much - Dorothy Title: Re: 5 cm line lights Post by: Brianzz on September 27, 2010, 08:54:17 PM great job, looks alot better than with no lights at all, eh?
Title: Re: 5 cm line lights Post by: DorothyMacaw on September 27, 2010, 08:58:58 PM BrianZZ
The difference is remarkable. I wasn't expecting it to blink the winning lines as well as the coins played - that is certainly an unexpected bonus. Again - EVERYONE - Thanks for your help !! - Dorothy Title: Re: 5 cm line lights Post by: stayouttadabunker on September 27, 2010, 09:29:44 PM For the lights to blink on the winning line - is that just an S2000 feature?
I didn't notice my S+ 5 line Gold Mountain doing that... :128- :129- Title: Re: 5 cm line lights Post by: Brianzz on September 27, 2010, 09:53:59 PM Mark it's been years since I had an S+ 5 line kit but I don't think they blink on S+
Title: Re: 5 cm line lights Post by: StatFreak on September 27, 2010, 10:02:26 PM The S+ doesn't blink. All paid lines stay lit.
The Wms40s Dotmations (like Jackpot Party) turn off the losing lines and leave the winning ones lit, but they don't blink. Incidentally, the Wms uses the lights to illuminate signage in cm games, and the program just leaves them lit. On an S+, if you leave the shadow box in place and run a cm game, only the last coin inserted light gets lit. In other words, line 1 is lit when you bet one coin, then line one turns off and line two lights when you bet two coins, etc. It's best to disconnect it. Title: Re: 5 cm line lights Post by: stayouttadabunker on September 27, 2010, 10:04:39 PM Oh, thanks guys!
Well, when Dorothy gets the Jackpot with her S2000 IDOJ - she has to give it to me! :96- Title: Re: 5 cm line lights Post by: coorslight115 on November 25, 2010, 03:45:12 PM Do they make one of these for a nine line s-2000 glass? And if so is it the same plug?
Title: Re: 5 cm line lights Post by: stayouttadabunker on November 25, 2010, 03:54:55 PM They do...they look like this.
It requires a special Molex connector and harness to protrude from the door harness. You may also need a certain door mount for it also, not to mention - the correct reel glass too. It will cost one many Ben Franklins after the dust is settled....lol Click to enlarge photo...>>> Title: Re: 5 cm line lights Post by: coorslight115 on November 25, 2010, 03:58:32 PM No not that one, one for a 3 reel game. Just lights not digits.
Title: Re: 5 cm line lights Post by: knagl on November 28, 2010, 09:54:47 AM Just the light stepper box? Yes, they made them in 3-line and 5-line for the S+ and S2000 (different boxes for the S+ vs. the S2000).
Title: Re: 5 cm line lights Post by: coorslight115 on November 28, 2010, 01:06:24 PM Just the light stepper box? Yes, they made them in 3-line and 5-line for the S+ and S2000 (different boxes for the S+ vs. the S2000). Looking for 9 light stepper box for this glass Title: Re: 5 cm line lights Post by: knagl on November 28, 2010, 08:10:05 PM I can't say I've ever seen a 9-light box. Anyone?
Title: Re: 5 cm line lights Post by: stayouttadabunker on November 28, 2010, 08:17:00 PM The signaling is certainly there in an S2000 door wiring to support it.
I have a different version which primarily shows 1 or 2 digits rather than plain lit bulbs. I haven't seen one of those really. :60- Title: Re: 5 cm line lights Post by: OhioGaming on November 28, 2010, 11:51:13 PM I have not seen a stepper box for the 9 line in either S+ or S2000. Don't think they made one.
Title: Re: 5 cm line lights Post by: Foster on November 29, 2010, 12:16:32 AM IGT made sure that you could not use the S+ parts for the 3 or 5 line setup on the S2000
But all it would take is an adapter harness, change the bulbs to 12-14V versions, make a mounting bracket. |
