Title: bally E-2000 tilt problem
Post by: billzel on September 19, 2010, 06:57:58 PM
my machine shows tilt and will not reset. i found if i unplug the J1 connector from the r. c. u. board it does not tilt . will accept a coin, reels kick-off and spin but will not stop. does this indicate a problem with the RCU board, if so where might find a new board. if not, where should i look next? thanks  bill

RCU may be called reel reader control board. no tilt code given

after reading my manual about 3 times, i realized that you must activate the key switch to get a tilt code. i turned the switch and nothing happened. a closer look revealed someone had wired the switch n.o to n.c. making it useless, after fixing that, i got a 42 code. i moved the #2 reader to the #3 reel and problem moved with it  . i guess i need another position reader AS2977-1 with the 5v lamps. can someone tell me where i might get one.  thanks,  bill

after replacing 1 phototransistor in the #2 reel reader, the machine works fine. it is amazing what a person can do if they just read the instructions
