This wouldn't surprise me.. I think the highest PAR sheet for those games I've seen was in the low 90's. They're a thriving rip off.. but if you put a $20 in and get the spin and get 1000 credits.. you're doing pretty good.

Heh, I don't know what the odds are on the WOF wheel bonus, but I did bump into Monte Carlo top wheel odds information sheet inside one of the machines.  To hit the top prize "1000" credits, you had once chance out of 5000 spins of the wheel.  Wonder if the odds are any better or worse on the IGT's?

Here's the article where it mentions that WOF slots take in more than $1 Billion each year.  ...and that was in 2004.

One interesting line from the article:
Quote
When I asked one I.G.T. artist if he ever plays [slot machines], he acted as if I had insulted him. ''Slots are for losers,'' he spat, and then, coming to his senses, begged me to consider that an off-the-record comment.

It was a well written article......

Anyone do the math on the shares....

10K invested in IGT 1999 - 2004 = 70K.
If you held and its now 2010 what are they worth ?

I have always wondered why one treatment for slot addicted players is not to give them a unit for home play.
It will save them money, let them understand the slot math better, perhaps the novelty will wear off.
Sort of like methadone for heroin addicts.....

you get the 1000 on wof a lot easier then a monte from experience.... so that tells me the odds are better, but then on the other hand you get more spins on a monte then a wof.....so its a toss up lol.....

I have a funny picture of a made up pill that I will have to post later when I find it on one of my computers, but it will need to be in the rants section. :200- :97-
