Title: WTB WBA-20-SS acceptor head and some questions Post by: websherpa on November 16, 2008, 03:05:17 PM I have a Bally S6000 (Blazing 7's) that came out of a Canadian casino, and then it came back to Canada with a US WBA-12-SS USA 501-44 acceptor head (although I can see from other markings that it used to have a WBA-21-SS CAN 502-03).
I would like to convert it back to Canadian currency for easier loading up of credits. I happen to have a WBA-20-SS CAN EPROM handy. My questions, I can not just substitute the WBA-20 chip for the existing WBA-12 eprom chip without also changing the acceptor head and get access to Canadian $ bill acceptance, can I? (Would I burn something out by trying it, or just get an error?) Where can I possibly get a used WBA-20-SS CAN acceptor head (only), or WBA-21-SS CAN$ acceptor head and Eprom inexpensively (or to trade for my WBA-12-SS acceptor head and Eprom (old US bills only)? How about a calibration paper, where can I get these and/or a test extenstion harness (for host to WBA) - or are their plans for building one (I am electronics tech savvy). Thanks for any help you can give! Wayne Title: Re: WTB WBA-20-SS acceptor head and some questions Post by: a69mopar on November 16, 2008, 05:06:46 PM Hi Wayne,
You need the wba20 or 21 head for it to work properly. What version is your eprom? I have some up to date eproms if you run into the need . Thanks Wayne,(yes my name is Wayne also) I am located in Brampton. I'll look up the ROM number to check with you. My challenge will be finding the right acceptor head. :8-
