Title: IGT error code cycle 1-9
Post by: AffordableSlots on September 21, 2010, 06:24:05 AM
:5-  I just got an IGT s-plus sit down model slot machine. When I plug it in the reels spin and cycle normally, then I get codes 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 that keep cycling over and over again. each number displays one at a time in sequence from left to right... 1,2,3,4 light up in the top display, then 5,6,7,8,9 display in the bottom display. I have looked all over for a fix or a meaning for this display of numbers... but I cant find any.
Any help or Ideas???

Thanks...
Bryan

Looks like the display self test. Have you tried pushing the white self test button on the board or turning the jackpot reset key?

Might there be a clear chip installed in the MPU board instead of a valid GAME chip?   :71-

lol....just kidding Bryan...
knagl might be right...
turn off the machine, pull the board and see what chips are installed in the sockets...

I figured it out... The machine came from a casino and it was looking for the server, so it was displaying the numbers 1 thru 9 waiting for a server responce. I cleared the game with the clear chips and it works fine now.

Interesting, I've never heard of that before.  Thanks and K+ for posting a follow-up which may help someone in the future, and congratulations on getting your machine up and running.  :3-

The machine may have been configured to be SAS and EFT enabled.
It was searching for signals from the backroom server.
These options, of course, are not needed for a machine in the basement of your home.... :96-
