Hi guys,  I need some advices from you.

I have been configuring some IGT's recently and there is one that is driving me crazy.  Machine is a Game King running a game called "Shrimp Mania"

The problem is that after the machine is configured I insert a dollar bill for test and all ok, credits and tokenization ok....   but when I want to cash out the money it triggers a HAND PAY message.  It should print a ticket for the dollar but it's still giving hand pay.

Limits are all above a dollar value as the machine next door....  actually, all parameters are configured exactly the same as the machine next door which works well by the way. 

FYI, the machine next door I'm referring to was already working when I arrived, so I didn't configured that one.

Not sure if the problem is related to the Key Chip I'm using for configuration (Key 40).  It's the one I used in Venezuela.   Machines in Venezuela were not using ticket printers, but it's the only one I have available right now.

The strange part of this is that I already configured some other GK running poker games with that chip and their printers worked all well.

I could take pictures of anything if needed,   if some info is required just let me know.

This might be a silly question....

Does the Printer show under the netplex installed devices as installed?

Can you print a test ticket?

If it does not show installed it will go to a handpay.

Also ticket validation but be set to standard not enhanced (or Non validating) since there is no host.    Or is there a host being used?

Hi, thanks for your reply, no silly question at all....

The options I have for setup the machine are listed in pictures 1 and 2.

My MACHINE OPTIONS menu is different from the old (red) menus found in poker GK's i have here as well (that are working well btw....)

The red menus shows the netplex autoconfig screen you are referring to...   (with the status "installed" or "not responding" beside each peripheral)

I mean, there is no option here to see if the machine has recognized the printer itself, but i guess it has because it does print test tickets...  I actually configured the site ID and it's showed in the test ticket as I configured it.....  Printer is working OK.

I have only a screen where you see if the printer is enabled or disabled (see picture 3).

I'm attaching many pictures I have taken for you to see what I have.

When I'm inside PERIPHERALS DEVICES SETUP screen (picture 3) there is a little square called NETPLEX PERIPHERAL....  It gives me another screen called NETPLEX PASS THROUGH (picture 4).  I don't know what is that NETPLEX PASS THROUGH screen for ......  If you know what it is for I'd like to get an explanation my friend.

Validation/Redemption setup is disabled as showed in picture 5, but in this page i have found a square saying NO RECEIPT PRINTING that made me curious.... I'll check right now if this is the root of my problem.

Thanks for pointing that one, I'll let you know if I solved this out.  If you need any other info make me know and I'll post it.

Yes mate!!!!  you nailed it from the very beginning

I had no validation so the machine was not printing the hand pay. 

Everyday I learn something new.  Once I learn something this way i don't forget it anymore  :25-

I was trying to say it must be set to ......

To many open windows in my head to process everything, I must upgrade the Quad.....

One thing to note that from GK to I+ with different versions the printer setup will vary and have different requirements and or setup.    always a pain when in a rush too like my typing.
