Turn it off for about a half hour and then turn it on. If the problem comes back - I'd start looking for a new power supply. Something's going on in there when it heats up... I'm wondering...are your fans working? You need at least one good working one to draw the heat out from fluorescent lighting. Title: Re: S2000 No display, credits, coins payed Post by: polybius on September 28, 2010, 03:11:06 PM Yes, the fans are working. I will try turning it off for a while. I have a good S Plus power supply. I wonder if they are compatible? Thanks for the advise...

You need an S2000 power supply...unless some else has some other ideas for you to try first. Title: Re: S2000 No display, credits, coins payed Post by: Ron (r273) on September 28, 2010, 04:24:22 PM All the led's are lit on the CPU. Does this mean it might be the problem?

It is amazing what you learn by actually digging into the problem! I checked with the place I bought it, and they agree. Probably a power supply. I will report back tomorrow after we try it. Thanks guys for being helpfull, and nice...

Title: Re: S2000 No display, credits, coins payed Post by: stayouttadabunker on September 29, 2010, 12:28:30 AM Hey! r273 might be onto something!
All those lights are not supposed to be on unless a chip came loose on the MPU board or something like that! Turn off the power and pull out the MPU tray. Check for any bent pins and re-insert it back in and turn on the power. Title: Re: S2000 No display, credits, coins payed Post by: cowboygames on September 29, 2010, 12:59:38 AM If the machine was shipped, try checking all the door plugs. Especially the ones going to the door I/O board. I had a similar problem and reseating the ribbon cable and power leads on the door I/O board fixed the problem. I'd bumped them loose while cleaning the machine and it took a few days for them to get loose enough to present a problem
Title: Re: S2000 No display, credits, coins payed Post by: polybius on September 29, 2010, 04:36:21 PM Wow, you guys are good. Only the top three yellow lights are supposed to be on. Power supply was good, board was smoked. :131-
