I was informed by another memeber that a nickel sized coin head can be modified to accept quarters by "grinding it." Anyone done this? If so, any tips on tools to use, where to grind, etc? I have a perfectly brand new low profile nickel head and if I can go this route as opposed to buying a new one, I would rather go that route and save the $. The back plate is the part you will be grinding on. Place a quarter on it and you can see what metal has to be removed. I use my bench grinder, a file will work if you have plenty of time.
