Title: The RW&B BTP is done! Post by: Yoeddy1 on October 02, 2010, 12:52:27 AM I finally got my clear chip in the mail today and decided to attempt a clear and program the lower denomination. My OCD has been calmed now that my machine is .05/.25/.50/1.00 to match the newly installed multi-denom decal. John42355 and Bettor Slots hooked me up with a multidenom legend and a "change denom" legend. Thanks again guys! I went out tonight and bought a sheet of red transparancy at Office Max and cut a square to fit my "Change" button. Gotta say it looks pretty swank now. Anyway, there isn't anything left to do except play and go for the BIG win now!
Thanks, Jason :136- :136- :94- :136- New photos: Title: Re: The RW&B BTP is done! Post by: Brianzz on October 02, 2010, 12:58:06 AM Looks great! I'll be shopping for one of those multidemon decals here shortly

Post by: Yoeddy1 on October 03, 2010, 12:06:31 AM One note that I wanted to share regarding the multi-denom decals. Once the orange protective film is removed on both sides of the decal, the adhesive is REALLY sticky. If for some reason you find yourself applying the decal to your glass and end up removing it and reapplying it a few times, you may find that the adhesive will start to gum up and show imperfections/blemishes...especially if you get your finger prints on it! If you find that yourself in this circumstance and your new decal looks like crap, (which mine eventually did), there is a way to restore it to new condition. Take a clean soft rag, soak a portion of it with acetone, and wipe off the adhesive from the surface. Once all of the glue has been removed, it will look brand new. I was reluctant to do this, but I experimented on an old decal that I had. Works great! The decal in my photo had this treatment done to it.
Cheers, Jason Title: Re: The RW&B BTP is done! Post by: stayouttadabunker on October 03, 2010, 12:10:00 AM The back of the multi-denomination unit.
I've never seen one really hooked... I've made harnesses for them but I've never seen one completely installed. lol Can you show me exactly what's needed to make one work and how it's all hooked up? Title: Re: The RW&B BTP is done! Post by: Yoeddy1 on October 03, 2010, 12:20:08 AM Hey Bunker, go here: http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=3406.0
This is where I learned how to do it. Option 1 in Railroad94's original post is what I performed on mine. Or are you talking about the touchpad box option? I didn't perform that option. If you want photos of mine let me know, but this should cover it for ya! :) Title: Re: The RW&B BTP is done! Post by: FORDSBS on October 03, 2010, 12:33:49 AM Jason, I still love that machine of yours. You did one heck of a job on it. CONGRULATIONS,well done.
Title: Re: The RW&B BTP is done! Post by: stayouttadabunker on October 03, 2010, 12:34:45 AM Thanks for the link.
The touchpad has an 11-pin harness go up the the display on the left side of the reel glass when looking at the whole thing with the door wide open. What is the number of that box the harness goes to?. Title: Re: The RW&B BTP is done! Post by: laneman on October 03, 2010, 12:36:21 AM This should help Bunker. You can zoom in on different parts of the pictures too..
Your picture above mine is the short glass machine. Title: Re: The RW&B BTP is done! Post by: stayouttadabunker on October 03, 2010, 12:39:40 AM wow! Nice set up Lane! :131-
I've never seen the behind of a 5 reel door...pretty cool! Look at the line box up on the right-hand side! That thing has all the LED lights onboard. I'm still stuck in the old yellowed Tripp Plastics shadow box times... :72- Your left-side box is different from Jason's though... It's a lot narrower than Yoeddy's larger squareish unknown number/ un-named denom box I highlighted... Thanks for the pics. K+ to you guys! :3- Title: Re: The RW&B BTP is done! Post by: laneman on October 03, 2010, 12:57:22 AM Thanks Bunker for the complement. That machine actually WAS a 5 reel 16" top Cleopatra.Always played the DD free spin in the casino,I finally found all the parts to convert it.
Title: Re: The RW&B BTP is done! Post by: Buzz on October 03, 2010, 12:59:58 AM Bunker This set came out of a 4 reel with long glass. Someone other than I will have to tell you if this can be installed in a machine with short glass. If you can use it, it's yours. I just use a button next to the Max Bet button. But then I'm lazy. !!!!!!!!
Title: Re: The RW&B BTP is done! Post by: Buzz on October 03, 2010, 01:02:53 AM Laneman Are you sure??? Jason's machine is a 3 reel + a bouus reel, I don't think 4 reel will fit behind a short glass.
Title: Re: The RW&B BTP is done! Post by: Yoeddy1 on October 03, 2010, 01:05:18 AM Here's a photo of mine. Lane, that is a sweet setup! Lotta wires to disconnect if the buttons need changed out! :89-
Thanks, Jason Title: Re: The RW&B BTP is done! Post by: laneman on October 03, 2010, 01:05:34 AM Bunker here is a picture of a short glass machine.
On my machine the credits, credits played, credits won are on the bottom of the reel glass and the glass all the way from side to side. You can see the difference on the short glass picture. Title: Re: The RW&B BTP is done! Post by: laneman on October 03, 2010, 01:09:54 AM Im sorry Buzz, you are correct.Meant to say the picture above my first post(Bunkers) was a short glass machine.
Thanks Jason, your machine is sweet too!!.It did suck changing the bulbs to LED's. Title: Re: The RW&B BTP is done! Post by: Yoeddy1 on October 03, 2010, 01:15:13 AM Jason, I still love that machine of yours. You did one heck of a job on it. CONGRULATIONS,well done. Thanks Ford. Kinda sad that it's "done"...at least until something breaks. ;) Title: Re: The RW&B BTP is done! Post by: Ron (r273) on October 03, 2010, 01:15:50 AM Thanks for the link. The touchpad has an 11-pin harness go up the the display on the left side of the reel glass when looking at the whole thing with the door wide open. What is the number of that box the harness goes to?. Since that is a picture of my machine, I took the cover off of that 7-segment display and it is PN 75128400 Rev A. Ron (r273) Title: Re: The RW&B BTP is done! Post by: laneman on October 03, 2010, 01:19:21 AM Pretty sure to do the touchpad conversion you need the 6-6-3 seven segment display.
Title: Re: The RW&B BTP is done! Post by: stayouttadabunker on October 03, 2010, 01:21:09 AM Arghhh!!! I can't keep up with you guys!! :72-
I keep getting the red highlighted message saying " Careful, while you were away - Somebody posted something"...LOL Oh thanks a lot r273!! :244- :3- And Buzz! I have one of those Touchpads! I got one off of ebayz last week but it didn't come with anything else. :8- :37- I should of read the auction better. :25- Anyways, It's the other box like in Yoeddy's picture for what that Touchpad hooks into I think I need. Lane's does the same thing I believe but it's much skinnier than Yoeddy's box. Below is a pic of Lane's harness I'm scared of... I might have to get a different door harness perhaps? Mine's just a regular 7 button deck. If I were to get a Touchpad panel controller, I'm wondering if my 7 button deck harness will be able to hook up to it? Below is a picture I've highlighted of Lane's harness adapter he has on his>>> Title: Re: The RW&B BTP is done! But then I'm lazy. !!!!!!!! See in that photo of the denom legend that Buzz is holding? The glue around the perimeter of the denoms is also on the denoms themselves. It can look like crap in a hurry if you touch that area or peel it off and on of the glass several times. Acetone will eat it off and retain the gloss of the label. Title: Re: The RW&B BTP is done! Post by: laneman on October 03, 2010, 01:26:35 AM Those adapter harnesses are HARD to find.I believe that is the one I was going to have you make for me.
Title: Re: The RW&B BTP is done! Post by: Buzz on October 03, 2010, 01:31:22 AM Mark I think that fellow from Idaho has thrown you a curve. Jason is that not a Pic. of your machine before you installed the touch pad??? Reply 16
Title: Re: The RW&B BTP is done! Post by: laneman on October 03, 2010, 01:34:21 AM I dont think Jasons machine is a touchpad setup,he just has the decal. His machine looks like mine did before I converted it.

Title: Re: The RW&B BTP is done! Post by: Yoeddy1 on October 03, 2010, 01:48:17 AM No touchpad in this machine. Haven't even looked into it. The button and decal will suffice...for now. ;)

I would of done it for you! You need to remind my old mind sometimes...lol I think I 'm startin' to get the dreaded "NLG CRS Syndrome"... :5- :25- Title: Re: The RW&B BTP is done! Post by: laneman on October 03, 2010, 02:04:43 AM No problem,I found one. :)
I think you need one of those adapters AND one of those long ones you made for someone a while back with the small "pico" connectors. Title: Re: The RW&B BTP is done! Cheers, Jason i use the self laminating sheets to cover the front of mine...that will help eliminate the fingerprints on the sticky side of the decal and if you want to change them out, you dont have to worry about dog and cat hairs sticking to them between uses S |
