Hi,

I have a few machines that "all of a sudden out of the blue" (Like most problems  :96-) Started giving me problems with the hand pays. When a jackpot is won on the machine, the machine locks up and the just doesn't display the value. If i turn the reset key, not even the meters move. I was wondering if any one has come across this before? I have Ram cleared and setup the machine from scratch and it works fine for about 2 to 3 weeks then the same problem. I am just looking for someone to point me in the right direction please.

SS4248 by any chance? - Chatsmania, Double Black Tie and Double Diamond Deluxe.

Make sure option 13 is set to 1 to enable displaying the hand pay amount.

You must have no credits on the machine to change the option, and it's part of the option setup sub-menu that starts with either "5  n" (n=0, 1, or 2)  or "2  n" (n=0 or 1). You then turn the JP key to move through the rest of the options until you get to 13.



Ian, is SS4248 known to be problematic? :128-

BTW, that chip is a DDD, but Dbl Black Tie isn't a clone of that game. Some clone examples would be Candy Bars and Checkmate.
I've never heard of Chatsmania.

Thanks for the replies, but the software is SS4250. Any suggestions or would this software also fall under the bad type?

Double checked on Double Black Tie and you are spot on. Chatsmania is a locallly themed artwork clone.
Interesting - What SP**** is that in reference to the two I know to be used there dont even have that option in the settings menu.
