Title: Hopper will not eject coins
Post by: Yoeddy1 on October 04, 2010, 05:51:40 PM
Hey guys,

This is probably simple, but I'm having a moment.

I just converted my Game King from a nickel machine to a quarter machine.  Everything worked fine as a nickel machine.  Today I received the new agitator and quarter coin head from Jim at Blue Ridge.  All coin in functionality is fine with the new head.  Installed the agitator in the same fashion and compared it to my S2000 hopper.  Looks identical.  When I cash out, I can hear the hopper spinning and quarters appear to be getting on the track, but nothing will come out and consequently I get a "hopper empty" message.

Any ideas?

Jason

Sounds like the quarters are not riding all the way up to the exit chute and are falling back into the hopper. Your hopper knife may need to be adjusted

I agree, the knife may need adjusting or replacement.

Run a hopper test with the door open so you can see exactly what is (or isn't) happening (don't stick your fingers in there with the hopper running!).  If it would help you, run a hopper test on a working hopper, too, so you can see how it's supposed to work.

Thanks fellas.  Yep, the one spot that I didn't inspect close enough.  The knife was sitting slightly out of adjustment.  Repositioned and tightened the bolts.  Working like a champ now!
