Title: Re: Mikohn PSP Program Post by: Foster on November 18, 2008, 09:39:08 PM I want to create a windows version of it.
It would be for NLG members home use only. But I need to figure out how the data is received and transmitted (commands, etc) I know it is standard serial RS-232 Title: Re: Mikohn PSP Program Post by: result1 on November 18, 2008, 09:55:34 PM No its not a standard RS232 - check link below

Thanks again: Dave (rma) Title: Re: Mikohn PSP Program Post by: Foster on November 19, 2008, 05:02:52 AM The Computer is wired as a Data Terminal Equipment (DTE) device and Mikohn controller is wired as Data Communications Equipment (DCE) a modem
That is why a straight cable with the jumper will work with controller. Mikohn just forgot a handshake signal. Title: Re: Mikohn PSP Program Post by: jay on November 19, 2008, 07:20:02 PM The PC to the controller is Rs232.
However the interface from say a CON1 to a LED4 or LED5 is a 2 wire interface and I believe that is RS422. Title: Re: Mikohn PSP Program Post by: knagl on December 12, 2008, 03:43:53 AM I was referring to the serial sniffer. it loads flashes something and closes. Try running it in a command prompt window -- based on that description, it may be a DOS-based program. Title: Re: Mikohn PSP Program Post by: Foster on December 12, 2008, 03:46:36 AM It shows up as a full windows program but only opens its window for a about 1 second.
Title: Re: Mikohn PSP Program Post by: Brianzz on December 12, 2008, 04:14:08 AM You may try this one http://www.kmint21.com/serial-port-monitor/ but site advisor gives static about the site
