Title: S6000 Tokenization?
Post by: Red7 on October 10, 2010, 12:38:26 AM
Has anyone done this..

I have mine setup for coin-less. No hopper, no bill acceptor and no printer. Hand pay on all cash outs. Coin acceptor still in, but it is diverted back to tray.

I changed the dip switch 6 as per the manual. And changed denomination to 5 Cents. aAs well that didnt work so I tried with 25 Cents to no avail. Did a full clear and went to reprogram everything and the menu was really different. It did not follow the manual. Some featuers were missing and some were gained which I could not find in the manual.

I had 56-0000
51-1000
58-1000

56 option was still there, but when I zeroed it out, option 51 and 58 were no where to be found? I wanted to change the machine to nickles, and tokenization. So every coin entered would give you 100 credits. Sounded awesome but could not get it to work. I believe if it did work the machine would work as normal and pay-out the right amount. But In understand when you cash out it would revert back to doing the correct calculations by dividing by 20..

Any thoughts.. I just cant stop messing with this thing.. hehe gotta keep you all thinking..

Thanks.. Steve

What do you mean by "zeroed it out"... :128-

I think the difference between 54 and 56 determans the payout of the hopper like 54 at 100    and 56 at 200  the hopper will pay out 100 coins then go to hand pay for anything over the 100

If you put 56 to "0" then it goes to hand pay.

Max Credit "51"
Max win before hand pay "58"

Without using the tokenization. I am able to change these so that it can build 1200 credits, and or have a single win of 1200 credits. If Cash out is hit with any number of credits in machines it goes to hand pay. No hopper at all.

It would be nice to set this up the same way (Which I tried) I set the denomination to 5 Cents and tried the token to 1.00. SO every quarter it see's would add 100 credits to the meter. That way it would be easy to play. But when I pulled the MPU set the Dip 6 to on, and denomination to 5 cents, did Ram clear. Went into the menu to turn these features back to they way I need them. #51,58 were no there, although a lot of new numbers showed up that were not on my sheet.

Little test for you..

Thanks

How do you put credits onto the machine if it's "coin-less"?
Dropping a coin in and having it divert back to the tray is not a "coin-less" machine.  :103-

I've seen some casinos such as the Turning Stone Casino use a
player tracking system that requires the use of a "debit" card.
The machines does not accept paper money or coins.

To me a coinless machine has a validator and ticket printer the only way i know to put credits on is with a validator

You need to install a bill acceptor then you knock off the credits with a key. :89-

Well I guess installing a bill acceptor would be the answer. The trouble there is that I'm in Canada.. seems to be shortage of those bill acceptors.. the Canadian heads cost more then the whole machine!

I'm looking to retail these machines. I would like to make them completely coin less, that way it takes all the troubles away. No bill acceptor or hopper, coin mechs to worry about. For now I have them working pretty good. Coin goes in and comes back to the tray.. It gives you something to do. I would like to use the tokenization so every coin would offer more credits for the customer. I have yet to get knee deep in to it. Once I got the machiens working great, I didn't feel like messing with them. I did try on one Progressive Blazing 7's machine to turn on the "token thing" just seemed like all the menus changed in the programming. Mode numbers that did not correspond with the manual, as well there were a bunch missing. I will have some time next week to document my findings. If anyone has tried this and already has the answer, please feel free to share.

TZ Tech developed a "circut" that adds credits with a button push (I think). And if you don't have a hopper, cashing out to hand pay works for your situation.

So I have been playing around with the Blazing 7's trying to turn on the tokenization.. I have tried multiple times with different denominations, different region settings.. and yes dip 6 is off.. And I cannot get option 22 "Tokenization" to show up in the menu at all... anyone had this problem? Solution?

Thanks

Steve

Real easy.
Pull hopper plug off board & have piece to plug in there.
On service button unplug wire & connect the other part you get. I has GOOD INSTRUCTIONS that come with it.

Hey there,

Yeah I know they make that device to add credits.. I have 4 IGt Splus set for tokens and they work awesome.. every coin/token in to the machines gives you 50 credits.. and it didn't cost me anything.. It is wierd how Bally's offers this option but it doesn't work. I have tried 10 different market codes and cannot get option 22 to come up in the menu.. Can someone do me a favor and check in there 11d settings if they have an option "22"? maybe I am missing a chip on the board or something..

Thanks Guys..

K, I changed the Market code to 16 - United Kingdom. It should default to - One token is $1.00, so I set to denomination to 1 Cent. Then I set all my other settings to the proper ones. The machine takes a coin, but now for every 3 coins it gives you one credit??? Should be one coin = 100 credits, instead of 3 coins = 1. This is a challenge to everyone! Please help.....

Needless to say, I have put it back to USA, and 25 Cent...

Thanks Steve
