I am trying to put a new game unto a wms BB1 but after I ram clear the machine and i put the game and OS in i get an error called "PREPART DSS SIGNATURE VALIDATION FAILURE" i DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO AS IT IS NEW TO ME Usually indicates a bad OS "CF" card. Will also occur if the game you need requires 512Megs of RAM and you have 256M in it. A 512Meg memory stick for a laptop DOES fit. What Game title and OS are you trying to run? Title: Re: WMS Bluebird Post by: Trinidad on October 12, 2010, 11:25:21 PM I am trying to run a game called high speed. It is 256 game and OS.
The CF cards i am using are card that were in working machines. I will try them with other games and see if it works. The ram is 512 but i am unsure about the bios but i will check Title: Re: WMS Bluebird Post by: KirkLasVegas on October 12, 2010, 11:27:42 PM I am trying to run a game called high speed. It is 256 game and OS. For "High Speed" you need BIOS Ver 2000........The CF cards i am using are card that were in working machines. I will try them with other games and see if it works. The ram is 512 but i am unsure about the bios but i will check You also need a 1800 or 1810 clear, 1350 wont do the trick :) P.S. if you get a "Game Mismatch" READ THE MESSAGE CAREFULLY...... It will tell you the family of OS you have and what the game needs...... A series E1 will NOT work for a E1.11...ETC ETC. If you cleared with a 1350, you have the Early BIOS.... Kirk Title: Re: WMS Bluebird Post by: Trinidad on October 12, 2010, 11:55:20 PM I loaded the game on a 550 nxt conversion and it worked. i will look at the bios that the nxt has and the ram to ensure that they are the same.
I have the 1800 ram clear so that not the problem. I also loaded reel rich devils and it worked fine. Hopefully by tomorrow i will have it sorted out Title: Re: WMS Bluebird Post by: blueridgeslots on October 13, 2010, 10:43:50 AM Usually not enough Ram (Cache) will not cause error codes, but will cause game to lock up when booting, the new games using newer OS's all require the v.2000 Bios, but seems hard to be accepted as the problem by users, but it is the problem
Title: Re: WMS Bluebird Post by: Trinidad on October 15, 2010, 02:08:02 PM Kirk and Blueridge,
Thanks. The game loaded in another blubird. It was indeed the bios rom. Anyway, how many versions of the bios are there? I want them listed from the oldest to the latest. Title: Re: WMS Bluebird Post by: KirkLasVegas on October 21, 2010, 02:53:04 AM Some "Update" pictures.........

Title: Re: WMS Bluebird Post by: Karaoke Mike on October 21, 2010, 11:08:53 AM Nice Machine Kirk. Alot of wires in there. So, how long did it take you to convert your machine?
Title: Re: WMS Bluebird Post by: stayouttadabunker on October 21, 2010, 12:07:43 PM Actually, it looks like a pretty simple setup, doesn't it?
There's no more "backplane" boards anymore, so to speak of... Everything is plugged into the 2 or 3 computers with harnesses that looks like VGA computer harnesses. The extra wiring seems to be for the printer, DBV, bells and whistles! Nice machine Kirk! :183- I'll betcha you traded in about 4 or 5 machines for that puppy! :89- Title: Re: WMS Bluebird Post by: knagl on October 22, 2010, 04:06:53 AM If I recall correctly, he got it for a good price at a pawn shop in Vegas.
Looks EXCELLENT, Kirk! :3- Other Bluebird dual-screen games that I can think of off the top of my head: - World Series of Poker - Match Game (the 70's TV game show) - Password (the 60's and 70's TV game show) - Supermarket Sweep (90's game show) - Goldfish - Mermaid's Gold (basically the same game as Goldfish with different graphics) - Don Ho's Kahuna Kash - Reel 'Em In I'm sure there are some others, but those ones all seemed to have come out at around the same time as You Bet Your Life. Very nice looking machine, Kirk. Title: Re: WMS Bluebird Post by: westec1 on October 22, 2010, 12:01:47 PM Actually, it looks like a pretty simple setup, doesn't it? That board was deeply embedded and well hidden behind a major cluster*%@$# of wires!! Yow! Thanks for showing us this Westec! :3- Title: Re: WMS Bluebird Post by: jagroups on November 08, 2010, 10:30:50 PM That's a beauty Kirk. Can't wait to get one some day.
Title: Re: WMS Bluebird Post by: jagroups on June 20, 2013, 05:49:10 PM Hey knagl,
I forgot I played World Series of Poker a long time ago at the Borgata in AC. I don't remember a things about the game. However, was this a Dual Screen BB? I can't remember. Joey Other Bluebird dual-screen games that I can think of off the top of my head: - World Series of Poker - Match Game (the 70's TV game show) - Password (the 60's and 70's TV game show) - Supermarket Sweep (90's game show) - Goldfish - Mermaid's Gold (basically the same game as Goldfish with different graphics) - Don Ho's Kahuna Kash - Reel 'Em In Title: Re: WMS Bluebird Post by: rickhunter on August 21, 2013, 11:57:15 PM World series of Poker is a bluebird 1 dual screen game.
