Title: Game change procedure
Post by: Yoeddy1 on October 19, 2010, 04:08:13 AM
Hey all,

So I'm changing my RW&B Big Times into a 3 reel standard game.  I performed a 97 clearchip procedure a few weeks ago on this game and set it up with multi-denom.  Works great.  When a game is changed out, do I need to perform the same clear chip procedure again, or can I just put in the new base chip, sound SIMM and start playing it?

Thanks,
Jason

Should not need to clear as long as your SB game chip is compatible with your SG chip. Check the PSR for compatibility. Simm chip 42 is a generic unless you have a specific game title that requires it.

Thanks,
Jason

PSR?  Could you point me to it?  The game is a Triple Lucky Seven.  I know this one requires a DSV00013.

Need to know what your SB number is. (maybe it is SB100207) They are about 14 different versions of that game. With that number
someone may have that PSR. A PSR tells you many things like Game types, Themes, Features and capabilites and much more information.

Jason   Here's what you do, take your new Base ( SB ) chip and install it, if the machine boots up and plays OK, if it doesn't, do a clear and  key. How long does it take to do a clear and key, 5 minutes !!!!!!! If by chance you get all four chips with your new kit, throw 3 of them in a drawer and install the base chip only.

Buzz, I'll probably end up doing a complete wipe and reload just to make sure everything is reset.  I've done this on my RWB BTP and it worked great.  So with a Triple Lucky Sevens will my Keychip 31 and Clearchip 97 work ok?  All I'm getting in the kit is the SB game chip.

This was talked about yesterday in another thread.

I remember commenting about the 97, but wasn't sure about the 31.  I'll look.

There's an SB100010 chip and others for Triple Lucky 7's,  but I don't know the difference really.  :103-
