Is it just me or does the "phantom" style dealer hands sound suspiciously familiar to another now defunct game system with a GIGANTIC monitor? They've been using some of it for a while already. Surely you've seen banks of IGT Fort Knox machines? The trick with those was to look for machines with only one or two numbers left to open the safe, then play it until you got the bonus and look for another. There were usually enough tourists who didn't understand the game to play the "cleared" machines until the numbers filled up. I made quite a few bucks on those. :71- Title: Re: IGT press release Post by: knagl on October 22, 2010, 04:57:42 AM The Odyssey version was a banking game (like S&H Green Stamps or Golden Monkey, still found in casinos today). The IGT version was a linked mystery progressive, where any of the machines in the bank could trigger the bonus, and in the bonus you could win one of five progressives by selecting different safes on the screen to increase a point total. The more points you got, the bigger the progressive that you'd win. If you wagered more, you had a better chance of triggering the bonus AND winning bigger progressives.
