Title: cc16 12v for sg50
Post by: ex11b on October 24, 2010, 07:38:32 PM
i might have figured out whats wrong with a sigma double cherries (sg50?) machine im trying to fix.
its reading "tilt" with no error code....ive tried resetting...no change.....in desperation...i removed the coin comparitor...and dropped a quarter through the optical sensot...and it took a coin, and let me spin the wheels...
im guessing this means the comparitor is bad..
the comparitor is a cc16 12vdc
will a cc16 13vdc work in this as a replacement?
thnx

Have you tried to adjust the selectivity potentiometer on the coin comparitor?
Do you have 12VDC on the orange wire? ( Pin 5 numbered from top to bottom on the CC )
Is the correct dampner weight present inside the CC?
The sensor coil and lockout armature should be checked as well.
Check the "rake" for smooth operation.

Another easy way is to just swap the coin comparitor and see if it works.
Putting in a different voltage coin comparitor is NOT recommended -
unless you have money to blow...
