Title: So I walk into one of the local dog tracks... Post by: rickhunter on October 25, 2010, 06:05:15 PM That are now allowed to have Class 3 slots and I go to an area that has $1 denominated video slots. And I see a whole bunch of machines in handpay lockups, I mean like 4 or 5 of them. So I'm wondering if it was my day to play $1 video slots. Well, after looking around for a bit I notice this guy dressed in shorts, T-Shirt, and a baseball cap playing the machines $80 to $100 a pop (80 to 100 lines) just systematically moving up and down the row of machines with $2,000 cash out vouchers. He puts them in, plays a few hands, and goes on to the next machine. I saw a machine with a $10K handpay, but most were in the range of $1,500 to $3,500. I guess when you bet $100 at a time, it's not too difficult to get handpays. I was there for about 1 hour, and the guy was there the whole time. He typically had 4 or 5 machines locked up all the time as the slot attendant would just come by every 10 or so minutes to see. With this kind of wagering, how in the world can he offset the losses against what is probably going to be a very large number of W2G's. Does the IRS take your player card activity as proof of your "cost?"

Was that at Mardi Gras or Magic City? Title: Re: So I walk into one of the local dog tracks... Post by: rickhunter on October 26, 2010, 02:33:29 PM Magic City. Stopped by on my way home one evening that I got out of work late, and just "wanted to blow off some steam," I came out ahead $20 that night, so for once the therapy worked. :5- :5- :5-
