Title: 61-1 won't clear Post by: rjpohl on November 20, 2008, 08:48:13 PM I kept getting a 49 error code and was pretty sure all the reels were OK, so I decided to do a complete ramclear. Now I can't get the 61-1 to clear. this is a s+ machine. I know there is a wire that is usually tie wrapped to the right of reel #3. I have put an wire lug and place under a screw on the cabinet in the past past and that would clear the 61-1. I've tried a new reset switch too.
thanks Bob Title: Re: 61-1 won't clear Post by: stayouttadabunker on November 21, 2008, 01:25:48 AM 41 Reel 1 tilt
Open and close door. 42 Reel 2 tilt Open and close door. 43 Reel 3 tilt Open and close door. 44 Reel 4 tilt Open and close door. 45 Reel 5 tilt Open and close door. 49 Reel mechanism disconnected Reconnect reel mechanism. Open and close door. These are the reels error codes right out of the manual. "Code 49" means you have a bad connection. The easiest solution is change your harness and/or reel. The harder solution is to check your reel harness and those "tie-wrapped" wires on the reel itself. Check for continuity-there's a broken or loose wire somewhere in the lines or at the connection points. Can you show us a picture of that tie-wrapped" wire? I'm suspecting that... Good luck and keep us posted! Don't know why that helpled just glad it did.

Give credit to Brianzz or Jay, I cant remember who but.... I remember reading a topic by them one time , on the old website, about switching chips and boards to clear stubborn error codes. I dont think anyone knew why it worked, but it did :72- Another good reason to own more than one S+! Glad you got it going! :3- Title: Re: 61-1 won't clear Post by: Brianzz on November 21, 2008, 03:49:19 PM I've tried just about everything to not have to dig out the clear chips, I bought them and used them once and haven't seen them since :96-
