Title: Best Service Manual
Post by: SilverFerret on October 29, 2010, 11:37:02 PM
I'm a novice at Bally Slots and everything else that's slot related but I own a Bally 809 which is working fine, but I also will be aquiring a Bally 873 that has an issue with the coins not registering credits so I'm looking for the best manual for a novice like myself. I have the Liberty Belle Books Complete Service Guide For Electro-Mechanicals 1964-1980 but have heard mention that it's not very complete.
If you know of what I need and where to purchase it, I will be thankful.
Much appreciated, Jim

Hi Jim.. I have this service manual for the EM Bally's. It's the "Owner's Pictorial Guide" by Robert N. Geddes & Daniel R. Mead. I have the Liberty Belle books too, but found I liked this one better. It comes with wiring schematics and hints for common problems section. I've attached pics of the repair manual. I picked mine up through EBay... Hope you find this helpful..

Gary

I agree, the Geddes/Mead book. It actually contains a section on the 873 with schematics. You can get it from Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Owners-Pictorial-Understanding-Electromechanical-Machine/dp/0934422052/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1288422967&sr=1-1). The Liberty Belle book is worthless alongside this one.
