Title: Sigma Video Poker machine - help much appreciated
Post by: franknic on December 27, 2011, 01:27:48 PM
Just got for christmas - Double Bonus Add em' Up machine. Works fine but is there a way to adjust the volume for the speaker? Pretty loud. Like some sound but at present too much. Also, to deal a new hand, the draw/deal button won't do it, have to press max button - don't seem right based on all the VP playing I have done through the years in LV. Usually you hit max button once for first hand, after that you hit deal/draw button for futher hands.... the deal/draw works fines after you hold you cards

Appreciate any help
many thanks

do you have a SG112+ ??    if so, the volume is adjusted by menu,  turn reset keyswitch on the side of machine, should give you a menu, follow instructions on screen to adjust the volume.

when you hit max bet button, machine automatically bets max bet and starts game  normal operation.

anything less than max bet (say 5 coins)  you can hit the deal/draw switch to start game.

Thanks Jim, I tried the reset key but nothing happens. Also, I turn it from vertical position but won't stay in horizontal  position. Bad key switch? can i jump the two wires that lead to switch to get the menu?

Re: the max bet button - - after you use it on first hand, setting bet at max credits, shouldn't you be able to use the deal/draw button for further bets at max credits? without thepmachine showing a first column (one credit), second column (2 credits), etc on the pay table- hope this makes sense.

also, it's a model SG 1128 sorry i didn't mention in first place.

Thanks for you help with this!

Maybe a SG-112B???   if so then I think the test switch is inside the machine, the volume adjust should be on the main logic board. usually up front and on the right side of the board.  it might be blue in color,

the bet max is part of the program, intended for fast action, should see the columns go across the screen from 1st. coin to 5th, if that's how it is set up.

the deal/draw is to play the game with less than max coins bet.

usually the key switch is springloaded so it will only stay at the three o'clock position until you release it. then it will return to the 12 o' clock position.

Jim, yes looks like a SG-112B - hard to read and you were right about the volume control - found it and it was blue. damn you're good. All is well. So, i have to ask, the reset key switch, what is it for?

by chance do you know where i can get a new fan for the unit? found it was disconnect and also why = makes some good noise and I' sure it should run to exhaust the heat inside the cabinet.

again, many many thanks for you help.

the three switches on the side are for different uses.

reset, (toward the front of the machine) used to reset the machine in event of a jackpot, credit lockup, or game program change. also used to run diagnostic tests, follow directions on the screen.
meter, (middle switch)  used to turn on lamps so you can read the meter readings.
last,  (last switch)  last game recall, used by casino to settle disputes.
fan is used to exhaust heat from cabinet, usually gets real noisy when bearings start to go bad,  remove, and all the electrical requirements should be located on the fan hub,  most computer repair shops will have the fan,  the operating voltage , rpm, etc. will be on the fan hub.  or take it with you for size comparison etc.

Jim, can't thank you enough for all your help.

He's one of the best!  Jim has a lot of knowledge, especially on some of the machines that not a lot of other people know stuff about.  :89-

K+ to both of you!

I have a Sigma PT@B it has been out of service for 3 4 years and now the picture is just wavy lines but sometims the slightest jar will bring up a distorted game but will play and pay. The game works but most times you can't see what was dealt. So I  would like to find out just what all of the pot just below the crt are suppose to do.

Sounds like the caps on the monitor board are dried up...Find out the model of the monitor and see about getting a re-build kit or a new monitor and/or board....
