Title: Manual for IGT 705
Post by: ERASMO on April 17, 2012, 09:49:07 AM
Hello all

This is my first Video Poker machine and it is an IGT model 705.  I am sure there is a manual on the site somewhere but I cant seem to find it.  Could someone point me in the right direction.

Thanks

There aren't any manuals hosted on this site, but some members have manuals in their own private collection and may have one for your machine.

Unfortunately, a "model 705" doesn't help us to identify the machine, as IGT had multiple random model numbers they assigned to their machines.  Can you please post a picture of the outside and inside of the machine so we can identify it and help get you on the right track?  Also, is there a problem with the machine that you're looking for a manual?  If so, please post what the issue is and we'll try to help.

I have pretty much the same game.  I have an error code that says something about the battery.
My dad replaced the battery. He's an old guy and thought he could use solder for plumbing.  (shaking head)   :25-

Anyways, he put in a 3.6 volt L-ion 1/2AA battery.  Of course it didn't work, because it states clearly on the bat "Do Not Heat".   :25-

My question is, will the EEPROM still hold?  Or in other words, will the game still work if I install the correct battery correctly?   :99-

Oh, and BTW, my blue tag says:

will post pic in next post

unless someone has altered or replaced that S/N tag, your machine is a players edge draw poker. the one above as Bunker and Knaql pointed out is a Fortune one, two entirely different animals even if they appear similar from the outside. Model number 10 = PE  70 = draw poker  A = non credit

That's good to know.  I'll use the search function.

Thanks

Hey I just got a machine very similar to yours but it is a "14447" .
I am having trouble when I put coins in the slot they just drop out of the bottom.  I attempted to adjust the two screws on the back and it will fall the right way in my hand, but when back in the machine it doesn't.    I have very little to no knowledge about these machines and would love to learn more if anyone would like to help.

check the lockout to see if it engages. its a 110vac solenoid circled in the picture (smaller circle) when it pulls in the coins should go through the switch underneath then down the chute back into the hopper. if this doesn't work, try to manually trip the switch with your finger. you should be able to play the game this way. the other circle, looks to me that you are missing the diverter assembly. this solenoid operates a paddle to determine whether the coins go to the hopper, or when the hopper is full, to the drop bucket. see the door picture of the machine a few posts above.

Ok so I was able to reset the game pushing the two buttons in the top right corner. I don't have the "jackpot reset" key so I had to open the machine and push them by hand. This reset the screen and it began accepting quarters.  I was able to play until I won a hand and the hopper did not pay out. I could hear it click but the screen shortly said "Hopper time out".  I pulled the hopper out and tried plugging it back in buy still does not spin.
Is the motor shot? If so where can I get one?  Rebuildable?

Thanks leapyear for your input so far!
