Title: Info needed on a Sigma Ripley's Believe it or Not
Post by: TimmyFnD on April 18, 2012, 07:48:26 PM
Does anyone know if these are available to purchase? If so any information would be greatly helpful as there is a great back story involving the machine with my wife and me. Here is a description of the machine from a website along with a picture of it:
Ripley's Believe It or Not Sigma uv1700 slot machine. Good video slot where in the bonus rounds you answer strange Ripleys trivia questions. Game number 254.

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong section.  I am a new member who was referred to this site by a member on KLOV.

Hi. I have the Sigma uv1700 Battleship game which I have been trying to convert to a Ripley's Believe IT or Not game. I purchased the chip and CD rom for it but have been having trouble getting the game to boot. I wish I had another uv1700 to test it on.

I haven't seen any straight up Ripley's slots in a long time. If you can find yourself a UV1700 machine you could convert it to a Ripley's. Although that hasn't worked too well for me  :8-

It was a great game and I loved the bonus rounds, just wish I could get mine to work.

I have several UV1700 machines. Maybe i can help you get your game working. I have never had a problem making Ripley's work.

My UV1700 is currently running Battleship which works just fine. When trying to convert it to Ripley's, I clear it with a clear chip, it loads the software, the graphics for the game begin to load and then an error comes up "Main File Hash Invalid". The error wont clear and continues to come up even with restarts.

I can re-clear the machine and reload Battleship without any problems. I've tried two different copies of the game's software and chip but still get the exact same error. Have you come across anything like this before? Any advice would be appreciated.  :103-
