Title: Bally 1060 Mint - what is missing
Post by: mctuerk on July 10, 2012, 05:14:12 AM
What kind of win meter is missing in this electromechanical machine? There are 4 wires to connect it.

It looks to be a digital display type window there since it seems larger than one for a mechanical resettable meter.
A mechanical I think would only need 3 wires, one hot, one step up, and one reset.
Is this an electromechanical or E/M with electronics?

You’re right – only three wires. This is a Bally  Model: 1060, year 1975, name: MINT – no electronics.
The owner before connected two of the wires to a resistor. I have a companion model (Gold Rush – no win meter), checked all connections and compared all contacts of reels, hopper and feature unit to the working one but the machine only lit-up not more. Is the meter absolutely necessary ?

Well, that looks like it might fit.  Make sure it's a 50V meter, as your orange wire indicates that is your voltage available.
Machine should work fine without it I'm thinking.
