Title: Game Maker flashing/blinking Blue screen Video posted
Post by: daddy2yea on August 07, 2012, 09:51:43 PM
My dads Game Maker has a flashing blue screen.  When I checked the battery it was dead, so I put in a new battery set DIPSW1-7&8 to on put in clear chip in  p10 turn on the machine and nothing. Same flashing blue screen as before.  When the machine is turned on the bill validator cycles normally and the screen flashes blue with a white cursor in the upper left hand corner. So now what?? Please help my dad is having serious withdrawals.
Thanks. Mike

yes, power supply even though the lights on the board show you have all your voltages. take the power supply out and look at the large electrolytic filter cap and most likely it will be leaking or bulged.

to state the obvious, make sure clear chip is all the way to the right in the p-10 socket.  make sure the battery jumper is in place on the board.
some g/m you have to turn the jackpot reset key on the outside of machine to start clear.
the power supply should read,+5v, +12v, -12v. if the p/s looks cooked, you can replace caps, however easier to replace it.
