Title: Sigma UV1700 Full of Sheep "Cable Not Connected" Problem
Post by: enforcer on July 13, 2013, 05:06:40 PM
The problems keep coming.  Now my Full of Sheep, which was working a few months back, gets this error message on the screen with an annoying beeping as soon as I flip the power on:  "Cable Not Connected".

Can't figure out a solution.

Any help appreciated.

Re-seated memory stick and the "cable not connected" error went away.  Now during boot sequence I get the following after which then the boot sequence stops at:

Kernal_Hard__Tilt()  DURING STATIC CONSTRUCTOR

Error = SRAM_BU both primary and backup block CRCs are bad.

Success !

Took only one Dallas Clear procedure and it finally is back up and running.  After I fixed Throw the Dough I got this one done.  As I said in my other post, removing boot chip at U51 was a bit nerve wracking, but I used sharp corner/point of knife and it did the trick.  Chip removal tool was useless.  You have to get it right in corner so as not to damage the chip prongs.  One thing I learned is that Dallas Clear chip would only go in one way and one way only.  Made sure I wrote down orientation of boot chip and clear chip for the future.
