Title: Color problem on a Bally V5500 Video Poker Machine
Post by: ucanwin on October 19, 2013, 11:12:10 PM
I am not sure if this is a monitor problem , or not, so I am asking the experts for help. The machine is a Bally V5500 video poker.
The problem is that the white on my cards is more of a pink color. I had recently sent my nonworking monitor board in to Ceronix to be repaired. They said that there were multiple issues with it, and sent me a refurbished board. Now I have the above mentioned color problem. Could there be a problem with the refurbished board, or could the be some other issue? What are your thoughts? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Jerry
P.S. This is bazaar! I just went to take a picture of my monitor screen showing the pink coloring on the cards so I could attach it to this posting, and when I turned the machine on........the pink is now white as it should be. What gives?

Try soldering your green PRA on your neck board.

Thanks, for the tip but all is good now. When I first got the refurbished board back from Ceronix, I had the color problem. As I left the machine powered up for a period of time, the colors improved. I am wondering if it took some time for the capacitors to get charged up or something. I haven't had the problem since then.
