Title: Playwitslotmachines's wide world of bowling
Post by: playwitslotmachines on October 25, 2013, 01:36:49 AM
If I have a hobby other than the slots, I would hop in the car and drive to a local bowling alley especially by a casino, play a dozen games of five-pin and a half dozen games of ten-pin bowling. I remember my highest game was in the 200 mark in five pin bowling but I have an average of 100 in ten pin. I do that with my buddy who is my coworker's teenage son with special needs (keep in mind I have special needs too), he seems like a little brother to me. Me and him usually go to a bowling alley, bowl a few games and play the slot machines at home after bowling. Man is he ever so good at 5-pin bowling I can never beat him  :37- but at least I develop a new friend and a new hobby. :wa :136-

I think we get the fun out of bowling other than the casino!!!!! :212- after going to two bowling alleys in one day, it was painful.

Bowling is awesome! I have a wicked curve, that I can't seem to correct. Instead I aim for the gutter, and it whips way back for the strike on good days. It's a hell of a spin.

Update: I started tenpin bowling in a league near where I live and I highest score is a 194 overall. I had a turkey on the first 3 frames :169- had a mark on every frame except one. So it's a:
[X| ][X| ][X| ][5|3][-|/][X| ][4|/][9|/][8|/][6|/|X]=194

On my last family trip through Vegas, we went out to Sams Club - they have theaters and bowling.
I dumped my kids off at a movie, and for each movie ticket they got a free game of bowling.
Thats more value than 2 hands of cards.

Just to clarify - My kids are 19 and 17 so its not like its child abandonment.
They tracked my wife and I down at a black jack table once the movie was done.

Where we live the drinking/gambling age is 18 so Vegas is a bit like a pen for my kids.
When the movie ended we went downstairs and played two games of bowling as a family.

The one universal truth here......I hate house balls..... My son was in a league for a while... and with his weighted ball he is a consistent 220, with the regular house balls 150-160.

I agree with you Jay. The house balls aren't as effective than buying your own from a pro shop. With a Brunswick T-Zone patriot blaze 12lb ball, I scored three turkeys in three days.
