Symptoms: Randomly locks up or reboots. Can force it by tapping the board. Resoldered the surface mount L2 ROM, L3 ROM, and CPU chips. Symptom: Dead. Flashes on screen. Missing a ROM. If the I4100 graphics controller IC is pushed down then the game will try to boot but hang. Replaced missing sound program ROM and tested again while pushing down on the IC and the game booted. Reflowed the IC and tested. The 2 Program ROMs and the Sound Samples ROM were unknown to MAME. Dumped the ROM and set the images aside for submission to the MAME team. |
