Title: Kaneko Games
Post by: channelmaniac on September 16, 2008, 02:32:39 AM
Model: Gals Panic II
Symptom: No red output

A cursory exam of the board revealed 2 1/8 watt resistors, a 750 ohm and a 1k ohm, that were burnt. Replaced the resistors and checked the board. Still no red. Traced it back to the custom Kaneko hybrid IC, V-08D, on the red line. Replaced the hybrid with one from a donor board to finish the repair.

Symptom: Sparkles on screen. Screen flickers badly

Replaced a physically broken 1K 1/8w resistor at location R1. This was in the video RAM circuitry. Desoldered the GAL PR-501 at location J13 and copied it to fix another board.
