Using Poppos Picture I drew in the tracks that burnt in green. The Blue Circle is the Power Plug for the Motherboard and the Red Circle is where I place the jumper for Card Cage (Pin 4 and 5). I measured the voltage without connecting it to the Mother Board and when it burnt the track again, I measured while plugged in and got the same readings. I suspected the motherboard until i replaced it and got the same problem, Same Tracks Burnt. I managed to now sort of repair the problem by replacing the Capacitor on the Power Supply. But now again I am Stumped with the machine hanging on a 65 3 Error. I placed the Ram Clear chips into the machine and all it would do is flash 7777 7777 over and over. I dunno Guys It is an Odd one for me too. We work on 220VAC in Tanzania and we have other machines with the same config in the PSU (Change from 110V to 220V) and they work fine. I even compared wiring from one power supply to another confirmed working one and they were exact. I hope this info suffices.

I remember when we were playing with certain SP S+ chips for SAS communications -
there was a 2-pin jumper needed in order to bypass the MPU searching for the drop door monitoring switch.
This was not needed as most home owned machines didn't have to enable the SAS features...
The 2-pin jumper was placed in the J2 socket on the motherboard to bypass it.
It was "Automatically-Enabled" whenever using an SP chip such as SP1213.
It looks like this in the photo I took below.

Also, you didn't need to use a clear chip to erase the [65-3] error code.
All you needed to do was turn the jackpot reset key once.
That would bring you to a [65-2], open the door and press the little white Test button and close the door.

No matter if you have 115Vac or 220Vac coming into the power supply from the wall outlet -
if the purple wire is in the correct position on the floor buss connector,
it will get transformed into the correct output voltages to the motherboard.

It's been a while since I converted a power supply from 115 to 220 but I will dig around
for the wiring schematics to see if you can compare it to how it's wired inside your PS.
If I remember correctly, it was just one single wire that needed to be moved at the floor buss to get 220v

I'm way confused at the wildly different voltages you're getting on the orange wires from your your PS readings.

Well, I am stumped. Except for that card cage jumper. There is 24vac on J2, so if the jumper is somhow shorting that pin, it would cook some stuff (since 4 and 5 would be grounded with the jumper). Any chance it's plugged in bckward and jumpering the wrong pins?

I'm not sure what capacitor you are talking about. All of the output votages from the power supply are AC. There is a filter in line, but that is all I see.

65_3 should be cleared by using the reset key. Most likely because you changed the motherboard and it has a different EEPROM.

Here's a close-up view of my motherboard's J2 header drop door jumper.
You can clearly see that it's jumping pins #4 & #5 >>>

Yeah, with a 20x zoom.  Tongue Out
In any case, it was just a thought because there is nothing else that should be causing it to short. The jumper seems to be the only variable that was not removed from the equation.

I'd still like to a picture of your motherboard taken out of the machine Inienas.
The underside too.
High definition and high resolution...not a crappy cell phone cam shot.
Something is shorted out.
I'd like to see how you "repaired" the traces.

Here's a close-up view of my motherboard's J2 header drop door jumper.

He's hooking up a card cage switch, not a drop door switch.  propeller

yes...you're right knagl...good call!...
However, the SP1213 PSR called for the drop door switch monitoring or "detection".
It's on page 5 of the PSR at option <0>[7].
I made that jumper specifically for that purpose as per PSR to get rid of the drop door monitoring... Scratch Head
Now I'm really screwed up! lol
Attached below is the PSR I'm talking about though we have absolutely no idea what SP chip he was using before the frying event.

The J2 card cage switch jumper goes to pins #4 & #5 as shown below.
But it does NOT explain why his *tracks*  are frying up.... rotflmao
He is being very reluctant to show us a photo of this motherboard.... stir the pot / get cooking
( the normal explanation is "I don't have a camera" or " I don't know how to upload pictures".... Crazy
Click on schematics to enlarge if need be...>>>

That is why i was wondering if he had his jumper plugged in wrong and was shorting 2 & 3 together instead.

Thanks Everyone I managed to fix the Problem. I replaced the Motherboard with another and the machine is fine. Thanks again. When I have time I will sit with the old board and do some fault finding.
