According to IGT's Glossary Of Terms, ( You know they really hate getting into details... rotflmao )
what is the "protocol" they're talking about when regarding the Vision platform?
I'm trying to solve the "Protocol Mismatch" error that pops up whenever I have the wrong SB or BGM game installed.
I would like to be able to determine whether or not the SB chip or the BGM card is correct or not...
like-wise  with the other software components such as the Version chip, SG pairs, or the RFA OS installed.
Are they talking about communications between the topbox LCD flash card and the machine's MPU SB chip?
or between something else?
Would a PCMCIA flash card be considered - a "serial device"?

"Protocol       Generically, the communication standard
between two serial devices. Often used to reference the
type of security, accounting and management systems
that the machine is designed to communicate with."

Sometimes I get a "BGM Not Supported" error and I've found that it's cause was due to:
either the wrong BGM flash card installed or the wrong SGxxxGME1&2 chip pairs.
The LCD program will not display which is incorrect though other than a morse code such as: "0x00022"  knockout
When a computer program displays what appears to be an "address line" number like that up on the screen -
what would they be referring that to?
