It goes without saying that you always have to be careful on Craigs List.
There's also the saying, if it's too good to be true, then it's probably not true.
All of these words of wisdom come true once again.
There's a couple of guys ... one in Las Vegas and one in California ... who bought a bunch of empty upright cabinets at auction.
The cabinets are nice and clean and ... foreign (bezel refers to "notes").
They are putting in a 19" monitor with touchscreen and BV.
They're removing the glass, scraping the previous signage and stenciling on a Game King photo.
Yes ... you read right ... photoed the Game King glass and had stencils made and then applied them to the glass.
Advertised with coins, only, the plate is for foreign coins, so it may or may not pick up the quarters.
Colors are off. This is a 3802 board with an older backplane. Background is black and cannot be changed to blue.
Buttons have no legends, so they're using their label maker to create clear legends.
Power cord is spliced with a US Plug attached ... not even sure how the machine is receiving enough power???
All in all, they actually look very nice.
I wanted one of the cabinets to build myself, but in the end, it was cheaper to buy one.
Not saying not to buy ... just want people to be aware of what they're getting.
