I'm having trouble with my Ceronix 2093 monitor.  It kept losing focus and I would adjust the flyback to clear it up. Next time I turned it on same thing. Then I tried leaving it up for a few hours and the focus would get worse.  I finally ran out of adjustment.  Reading on here lead me to the conclusion that the flyback was giving out.  So I thought this thing is so old and it probably has bad caps and who knows what else.  I thought I could milk this thing along for a while if I just bought the whole board assy. (CPA4108).  That means the whole works, even the controls for the front.
I put it all in today and turned it on and after about 5 minutes I got  some popping and arcing from the neck of the tube.  I moved the anode cap a little and it appears to have gone away.  Now the damn thing powers up just fine, it looks great and then to fades into darkness after about 5 minutes.  Did I get a bad board new from Ceronix??? It seems that way.  But I really need some input on how to proceed further.  Thanks!

This problem is being resolved.  I have a new LCD retro kit coming from Ceronix.
