At my casino we just started with a TITO system and I have 4 machines now that say Remove Ticket I can't get rid of the message at all (S2000 say please remove previous ticket & Game King just say Remove Ticket)
The machine still thinks it is in a cashout yet there is no blockage of the ticket printer and all hardware is working correctly. Any Ideas?

What type of pronters are in the machines? We've seen this before with Ithaca 850 printers. It apparently is an issue with the optics. When the printer is changed out for another one, the error clears and does not reoccur.

clean the optics in the printer with a Q-tip and class cleaner. Talk to BENCHTECHBILL he has setup a few casinos with TITO and knows lots of tricks to make the job go smother.

With our printers, when this happens there are several things we do to troubleshoot.

Feed the paper (from the button on the printer),
print a test ticket (from diagnostics),
turn the reset key (if it's one of those machines that needs the key to clear the error),
reseat the printer,
open the printer head and blow it out,
open the printer head and manually run a ticket through it forwards and backwards to kind of "clean" it,
open the printer head and loosen the yellow tabs, see if there is any blockage, blow it out, and stick a ticket in there manually and ove it around to loosen any dust/ hair.
open and close the base/hood door (for those machines that need that door messed with to clear printer errors, HOW ANNOYING!!),
Toggle the door latch, or open and close the door (for those machines that need to clear tilts in that fashion)
Power cycle the printer, and in some cases even power cycling the machine since it could be frozen.

Good luck!
