Hi,

I have a whole lot of Game King slant top 17" Monitors but no slant tops. I know the image is upside down as opposed to the upright.

Can anyone tell me how to invert the image so that i can use the monitors can be used in the 17" Upright Cabinets?

Ιt can be done but you have to invert two cables. From the CRT screen there is a connector with four cables coming fro the yokes. The two are for the horizontal and the other two for the vertical. I do not remember the colors but I can check it for you. If you invert the two with the vertical you can inverse the picture vertically. If you invert the two horizontal cables you will end up with the mirror effect on your picture. If you mix the horizontal with the vertical cables you will burn up something.
Off course there is another solution and more safer than this. To turn the screen upside down. It is just four bolds.

So does anyone remember, offhand, which two cables need to be inverted? It's been awhile since we've done one, and, well, we obviously didn't take enough notes, or can't find the notes at all!  rotflmao

We have red, teal, gold, and brown....I remember you cut the connector in half, but can't remember which half to flip!!!!

After reading some older threads, I'm thinking were going with flipping the gold and brown....PLEASE, if anyone knows different, let me know, this could get ugly...don't worry, of course I'll shield myself as Darrell does the dirty work, but would still like to k ow if we're in for a light show. God how I hate monitors...

Can't you just loosen the screw on the yoke and spin it 180 degrees on the neck of the tube?

I got the image reversed. Its simple. Just take the four wire jack coming from the yoke and seperate the brown and yellow wires from the blue and red. You cannot put them in the wrong placee because the jack would not alllow it. Just spin around the blue and red or the brown and yellow. This is so because diferent brands operate differently

Excellent, that's what we needed to verify. Apparently, the harness is not long enough to 180 it.

Monitors scare me, but Darrell has learned enough lessons (the hard way) to know what NOT to do... rotflmao

Thanks guys! You know i'll be back if we have any problems!
