I'm seeking another owner of a J400 single line slot that can help me out with some cut wiring.  I haven't been able to find schematics online yet for this title.

The game is stuck in call attendant mode.  The bell is ringing constantly.  I found a momentary pushbutton in the bottom of the cabinet that used to be the call attendant button and some of wiring in the harness behind the reels are cut.  I need to purchase a 30 pin edge connector because some the wires that aren't cut are broken off the backside of the edge connector.  So it would be great to be able to confirm where these wires go and get this game reset and working.

I've verified that 24v, 12v and 5v are all good at the buss next to the power supply.

You can also PM at my email Winslow _at_  earthlink _dot_ net.

Thanks for any help or guidance that you can provide.

Hey!

Thank you for the link!  That's a very nice example game.

I'm going to try and get the wiring taken care of this weekend.  Looks like I'm also in search of the topper candle too - mine is MIA.

Any chance you could provide pictures of the harness connecting the reels to the board behind them?  I could also use a picture of the buss back there on the right side just under the bell.

I have 25 of these machines earmarked for restoration, and I'm sure I have one or more that is identical to yours. I'll dig thru them and see if I can get a picture

Here's my next project:
