How much trouble is it to change a 9 inch Flat top to a round top or for that matter a 16" flat top.  I know sometimes the tops are available.  I was just thinking
that having a separate top would allow a lot more flexibility as to available game kits, glass, etc.  Especially since I only have the one machine (For now Tongue Out)
due to my very limited room.  I would much rather have one of each, but alas that is not possible at the moment. Duh!

If your laminate on the cabinet isn't in one piece (ie. it's not holding the top to the rest of the machine), it's a pretty easy conversion.  I know other members have done what you suggested in having multiple tops for one machine for game kit flexibility.

If the laminate IS one solid piece, you'd need to cut it in order to remove your existing top.  Not out of the question, but it would require a little more work.

The laminate is in 2 pcs.  What is an average cost for a round top, or a 16 top box? I have only seen 1 or 2 and can remember where I found them.

swapping the top on an s plus is easy, it just screws on with 4 screws, look in the top of yours and you'll see.  If you are looking for one, post in the classifieds WTB (wanted to buy), if you add your location, maybe someone close to you has one, this would save on shipping.  You likely won't find one with matching laminate, but you could relam all pieces in your choice of colours.

Thanks,
Wayne
