Need some suggestions guys.  The "stand" button on my poker machine is not lighting up when the cards are dealt.  I managed to pop off the cap, and replaced the bulb, but unfortunately the new bulb did not work either.  The button itself works, so it's not like I'm dead in the water...it just won't light up.  I looked at the connections, and nothing appears to be loose.  Any ideas where to start?

Thanks.

Hi there Yoeddy1,

Not knowing anything about your machine model, I might start by looking at all your connectors and wiring.  Insure all is snug.  Next I might do a voltage and continuity check.  With the bulb out and the machine on, do you read any voltage at all in the socket.  Do you read any voltage between the game chassis and either bulb contact?  Next, turn the machine off, pop the cap off a 2nd button and remove the bulb.  Do you have good continuity between the two bulb sockets on the outer contacts?  Generally they will have continuity since they daisy chain that wiring.  At best you only have a bad wire connection some where, at worst you have a bad transistor or triac on the circuit board.

Good luck.
