Anyway, MPU board needs a new battery,  This will most likely be used as a spare board, and will rarely be powered up.
Whats the best (ma) rating for a new battery?  I see they are available in quite a few different ratings..  Help

Hi Magicslots,

My 2-cents is bigger is better...normally .  As you know a higher mAh reading means more current/storage capacity.  However, the load  on a slot machine memory battery is very little.  It is probably better to use a fresh battery, as fresh as you can find.  A new but lower mAh rating would last longer than an older but higher mAh rated battery, especially if its gonna be sitting on a shelf most of the time.  But here is an idea:  if its sitting on the shelf without any Eprom why not just leave the battery off until you need it?  OK, not very practical.  Well, it was just a thought.   Personally- I use what ever size battery I have in my battery box, as long a its a 3.65 lithium.  For me changing a battery and resetting everything is less of a chore than mowing the grass for example.

Good luck.
