Does anyone know if a chip exists for simulating PE plus jackpot. This would be used for testing progressive systems. I know there is a chip for the S+ but have not seen one for the PE+.

I just made a small jumper cable with a female pin on each end. Found the pinouts for the controller board (CHAM II+) and just use that to simulate a jackpot. Dunno if it will help you and what your setup is but worked well here, especially when first setting the progressive up

thanks for the input...i dont have cham II controller but....i think there exists a chip that you can replace one of the game program chips on the PE+ board, and it will simulate a Jacpot win to test the progressive system......like i said before, i know the chip exists for S+ but don't know if it exists for PE+.....

There is a jackpot test mode within PSP however that tests the signs and such but it would be good to have a simulator from the Slot/PE+ side just so you are sure PSP has its timing setup correctly.

I am also interested in this chip.

ok, i will explain ....the "coin-in" signal generated by the machine is is a 50ms pulse with a 100ms between pulses ....
this is easy to simulate just touching the wires together to simulate coin-in.....
the "jackpot reset" signal (thats what they call it)... is a 200ms on pulse, 50ms off pulse, and a series of other pulses to indicate that a jackpot has been hit....
in a bally machine, there is a series of options you can enter from the menus to simulate a progressive jackpot signal to test progressive systems, but in an igt machine a special chip is required to simulate a progressive win, this chip is installed as a program chip and sends the progressive win signal to test the progressive system...

i was hoping that someone on the board knew about this chip and could recommend a source to find it.....

I've never heard of this "Jackpot Chip" either... but I'm interested.

What is the chip number? Do you have the PAR/PSR?

i talked to an engineer friend that works at IGT in that area and he said that these chips were only made available for the 'regulators' to test progressive systems, and these chips are not available to the public

Still should be some docs somewhere on it... If we had the chip number it would make it easier to find.

I didn't know the GC tested progressives?
