Greetings.

This is a continuation of the discussion here about the use of a wingboard with a PE+.

To be clear, the wingboard can only be used with a superboard, right?

The wingboard plugs into the RAM and DATA slots on the board.  What chip goes into PROGRAM slot?  Does that chip determine what games can be used with the wingboard?

What limitations are there on games that go on the wingboard?  I understand that they'd need to use a common CAP PROM for the colors to be accurate.  Jim at Blueridge mentioned that he was aware of someone who had blackjack and poker on the same machine.  Are there games that will or won't work with the wingboard.  ie. can I have Bonus Poker, Jacks or Better, Deuces Wild, Shockwave Poker, and Blackjack on the same wingboard (and player selectable)?

Thanks in advance.

For the program slot I use XMP000017 with Capprom X2298, and the other graphics chips all have 2298.

The Blackjack game I have is non superboard. Program BE0014, uses Caprom 707, and CG2036
I have not found it to be compataible with the above chips for the wing board.

Perhaps there are other chips other than XMP000017 ..... for the wingboard multigame that I am not aware of.

There is one other minor factor which I have not seen mentioned before.  On the far right of the above picture in the lower right hand corner of the daughter board is another socket that plugs into the Superboard.  It appears all Superboards do not have the corresponding socket installed on the board.  Some of the boards have the masking there and a place for the socket but no socket.  Just something I ran into recently.

Would love to see a Blackjack game operational with the poker games on one of these daughter boards

 applause

Just for what it's worth, also using a XMP00017 but with CG2426 graphics.
