i had to take this panel out that holds the top glass now when i screw it in it has like 1/4 play back and fourth.......do i screw it in all the way foward or all the way towards me????????

Don't think it's any big deal, it's for the glass to rest on and the front bracket to attach to.  I usually just hand tighten the 2 out side screws, then install glass and front bracket.  Check for fit and then then tighten the 3 screws to maintain that position.  T farther back. toward the rear of the machine, you put should make the clips tighter against the glass.
