Not real familiar with the 550 series. Have a machine that at first had multiple printer problems. Have gotten those resolved with some help of people on this thread. Thanks. Now when I get the game running (jackpot party 9 line) the lights on the door blink constantly ---- I think this could be the +20 volts. The other problem is that the game runs extremely slow. When it finishes a game it is 4-5 seconds before the spin reels icon lights up and when a bonus is won it takes 30-40 seconds for the bonus game to appear on the LCD and the boxes are very slow to turn when touched during the bonus round. The EPROMs are a factory set and are all ST 100F1 chips. So they all match. I have tried three CPU bds which are 1.5 plus and have tried five video I/O boards to no help. Also after playing the game for 5-10 minutes get stack low error. or heap corruption error, or RAM signature error which requires a ram clear. At wits end !!!!!Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Sounds power related? I don't know a thing about these games, but you said you suspected it to be +20 volt related. Do you have another power supply you can try? Again, just a thought?

I had that happen once and it was a bad sound eprom.  Read all chips and post the checksums.

This old posting may be helpful to read, it concerns a WMS machine having flickering lights amongst other problems and zeroes in on the 20vdc circuit in the lower power supply, as well as the +5vi circuit. Don't know if this is your problem but could be something to consider:
